Associated Press Contest: 3rd place

This is the photo that won third place in the 2010-11 Associated Press Better Newspapers competition Photo Illustration category. The gas mask was shot with 4 strobes all at 1/2 power zoomed to 85 mm in an X pattern surrounding the subject (thank you Steve Borland for playing along). The gas mask shot was taken with a D200, ISO 100, F13, 185 mm on my Nikon 80-200 2.8. I used some high pass filter in post to give that extra gritty feel.
