I photographed a very unique and beautiful wedding up in the Western Catskills last week. Steven and Kristen’s Wet Hot American Wedding #skwethotamericanwedding as they named it was pretty amazing. It was a Scottish/Greek Wedding with many traditional elements from both cultures set along the East Branch of the Delaware River at the RiverView Estate By Brophy in Fishs Eddy, NY. Truly a one-of-a-kind wedding. Between the kilts and color and beautiful weather they had it couldn’t have been more perfect. They were both a pleasure to work with and we ended up with some great candid photos as a result. The light at the ceremony was soft since it was in the shade of a huge tree so I was able to use natural light for a huge portion of the day inside and out giving it a bit of a different feel than most of my weddings. The sunset came in at the perfect time as we were finishing the portraits after the ceremony. The sky suddenly turned gold and pink just in time for the portraits of Kristen and Steven!
