This session was one of my wildest ever. It started as a normally schedule engagement shoot with Tiffany and Pat at West Point overlooking the Hudson River at sunset. Turned out the day of the shoot some fairly strong thunderstorms were going to be rolling over West Point during the shoot. Problem was the couple was leaving West Point and moving to Louisiana the next day. This was the last change we had for the shoot (which we had already rescheduled due to rain). So we planned on shooting were we could to make the best of the evening. After arriving and taking a few test shots the rain started to fall in heavy downpours and wind picked up. We jumped in our cars and took them to a tunnel that would shelter us from the rain and wind and would serve to at least get us some nice photos. AFter shooting for about 30 minutes to our surprise a rainbow appeared over the mountains. We quickly switched plans again for the rainbow. Then I realized the sunset was happening at Trophy Point and the light looked absolutely amazing. We raced back to where we started and finished up the shoot with one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen on the Hudson River. These were all shot with a single softbox and strobe.
