It’s not often someone gets to photograph a wedding 150 feet underground in one of the most well known caves in the northeast. This weekend I shot a wedding ceremony for Ara and Ben down inside Howe Caverns in upstate NY. I hadn’t been down inside Howe Caverns in almost 30 years. I loved touring the caverns then and still do. This has to be the most unique locations I have ever photographed a wedding. It was a very tiny, intimate ceremony and then afterwards we toured the cavern and stopped along the way for portraits. I was able to use a softbox for the portraits along with the existing cave lighting to create very unique portraits and some of my favorite for wedding portraits ever.
