Roswell Rudd Ulster Magazine portraits

I have been patiently waiting to publish this post for a while now. I shot these portraits back in August for the current edition of Ulster Magazine. These were the final product of the mixed light portraits I posted last week. Roswell is an interesting guy with an alternative sort of style. This alternative sort of lighting approach I thought was perfect for him. I used a red gelled constant light on the back and 2 strip lights on both sides of Roswell with a 2 second exposure. Then just let him play. We eventually realized it was better to mock play the instrument with resulted in a some great results. Check out the pages and outtakes below along with a setup shot.
