Portrait of a centarian

I photographed a portrait of Dorothy Wilson in her home this past fall for Orange Magazine. She is a Navy vet and turned 100 in September. She was great to work with and was very happy to sit for a portrait. I wanted to capture her in her element. So I setup a single softbox and had her sit on her couch. Her cat jumped up just at the right time and sat on the edge of the couch perfectly balancing Dorothy with the pillow on the opposite side.
