Another story featuring my photos from the current edition of Orange Magazine: Julius and Dorine Sas of Monroe surrounded by antiques and artifacts collected from around the world. Julius Sas, was born in Hungary and escaped with his family in 1946 from the Russians who took over his village. His wife, Dorine, was born in Morocco where her father had joined the French Foreign Legion after stowing away on a Nazi ship to escape the Nazis who were taking over his native Poland.
This couple had to be some of the most interesting people I have ever met. Dorine told me many stories of her childhood in Morocco and how exotic her life has been.
