The second portrait I photographed in the Orange County Magazine series of Orange County Rising Stars was founder and president of Volum8 Creative in Montgomery, Charles Graham. For this shoot I met Charles at his office in Montgomery. This was one of the most interesting and creative offices I have ever seen. Between the mottos on the wall, to the vertical garden to the coffee shop he is installed the photo options were endless.
I lit each portrait with a single softbox grid and for the portraits at the coffee shop counter I used a second light to highlight the chalkboard in the background. I really wanted to create a look in the portraits that said this is an highly creative environment.
