Engagement session at the Bartlett Arboretum

I photographed Jess and David’s engagement session at the beautiful Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT recently. We set it up late in the evening near sunset. I used a single strobe for most of the shots and a softbox and second backlight for the portraits in the dark shaded areas under the trees. The look we came away with was magical and almost fairy tale-like. The portrait of then under the redwood tree with the sun streaming through the branches is my favorite. It looks like it came straight out of a movie poster. Here are a few more of my favorites.
